Daxing airport annual traffic exceeds 20m trips

The annual traffic of the Beijing Daxing International Airport has exceeded 20 million trips on Monday, the airport said.
Since the airport opened in 2019, nearly 40 million passenger trips were made at the airport. Some 315,000 flights departed and arrived at the airport.
A total of 33 domestic and international airline companies operated 240 air routes at the airport, reaching 171 destinations across the world.
On peak days, more than 140,000 trips were made, and 907 flights departed and arrived at the airport.
The airport plans to offer 1,050 time slots a day in the upcoming winter season.
The airport, which opened on Sept 25, 2019, aims to relieve traffic pressure from the Beijing Capital International Airport.
