Xi calls for global cooperation on aeronautical technologies
President Xi Jinping emphasized on Monday the importance of global cooperation on aeronautical science and technology, saying the development of international teamwork in such fields is greatly promising.
Xi made the remark in a congratulatory letter to the 32nd Congress of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences, which is being held from Monday to Friday in Shanghai.
He said in the letter that aeronautical science and technology is among areas that have witnessed the fastest growth since the 20th century and have the greatest impact on human life and production.
Today's world is undergoing a profound scientific and technological revolution as well as industrial transformation, and there are unprecedented opportunities for the development of aeronautical science and technology, Xi said.
He expressed hope that the event will play a positive role in promoting global cooperation on aeronautical science and technology and deliver more benefits to people around the world.
The 32nd Congress of the ICAS is hosted by the ICAS and organized by the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
