Police find over 3,400 missing, abducted children this year


Police have located or rescued 3,400 missing or abducted people, including adults who went missing or were abducted as children, since a nationwide campaign to help reunite them with their families was launched in January.
One person had been separated from family for 61 years, the Ministry of Public Security said on Tuesday.
A total of 62 to-do lists and 30 social welfare policies were created since January to address people's problems, it said. The ministry also used innovative methods in areas such as fraud prevention.
Over 247,000 people have been arrested for telecom fraud this year, the ministry revealed. Additionally, over 36,000 people have been arrested for food and drug safety as well as intellectual property crimes.
For minors, the number of juvenile delinquency cases this year was reduced by 26.2 percent compared to 2016, statistics provided by the ministry showed.
