China unveils 26-woman squad for Tokyo Olympics football event

BEIJING - The Chinese women's football team has unveiled a 26-player provisional roster for the Tokyo Olympics football event.

Star players Wang Shuang, Wu Haiyan and Wang Shanshan are on the list which will be cut down to 18 players plus another four reserves before the Olympics.

Head coach Jia Xiuquan and his players will assemble on Thursday at the Xianghe National Football Training Center in Heibei province.

Team China is drawn in Group F with Brazil, Netherlands and Zambia.

Roster:

Tianjin: Wang Shanshan;

Shanghai: Zhang Xin, Tang Jiali, Ding Xuan, Xiao Yuyi, Shen Mengyu;

Jiangsu: Peng Shimeng, Zhai Qingwei, Li Mengwen, Yao Lingwei, Wang Xiaoxue;

Shandong: Yang Man;

Henan: Lou Jiahui;

Guangdong: Luo Guiping, Lin Yuping, Li Qingtong, Chen Qiaozhu;

Sichuan: Yang Yan;

Shaanxi: Long Chen;

Wuhan: Wu Haiyan, Wang Shuang, Zhu Yu, Wang Yan, Ma Jun;

Changchun: Wurimugula, Liu Jing.
