9 killed in railway accident in China's Gansu

LANZHOU - Nine people were killed in a railway accident in Northwest China's Gansu province Friday, local authorities said.
The accident happened around 5:25 am on Friday when a train crashed into workers in the Jinchang section on the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway, according to the China Railway Lanzhou Bureau Group Co., Ltd.
Rescue work is underway.
