Three rescued, three still trapped in East China mine accident

JINAN -- Three mine workers have been rescued, and three others are still trapped in a coal mine in East China's Shandong province after a roof collapsed Wednesday night, local authorities said Friday.
The accident happened at about 11 pm on Wednesday at a coal mine in Weishan county, Jining city, leaving six miners trapped, the emergency management bureau of the county said.
The rescued miners are all in stable conditions, and search and rescue efforts are still underway, said the bureau.
