3 feared dead as Japanese fishing boat collides with Russian ship off Hokkaido

TOKYO - A Japanese fishing boat on Wednesday collided with a Russian vessel off Japan's northern Hokkaido prefecture, local media quoted the Japanese coast guard as saying.

The Japanese fishing boat capsized after the incident occurred off Monbetsu, Hokkaido, it said.

Among the five crew members rescued, three are showing no vital signs, according to the Japanese coast guard.
