Drivers in parts of the East Coast flocked to gas stations this week amid the US' largest fuel pipeline shutdown following a ransomware attack last Friday.

Some waited an hour or more on lines at gas stations, and some found out that the pumps had run dry. Colonial Pipeline announced Wednesday that it has begun to restart operations, but its pipeline won't return to normal for a few days.
