Shanghai will provide free COVID-19 vaccinations to Hong Kong and Macao citizens aged 18 to 75 who are currently living in the city starting on April 12, local authorities announced on Friday.

People can make online appointments for the vaccination through the Jiankangyun mobile app.

Applicants need to present their proof of a residence permit issued by the Public Security Bureau or have a medical insurance scheme in the Chinese mainland. Every person will be given domestically-manufactured vaccines.
