Peach blossoms in Tibet beckon tourists

This year's Peach Blossom Festival will kick off in Kala village of Nyingchi, Tibet autonomous region, on March 27, the local tourism authority said.
Peach trees in Nyingchi have already begun to blossom and are expected to reach full flower between now and April 25 depending on the temperature.
The Peach Blossom Festival is one of Nyingchi's renowned tourist activities. Starting in 2002, the festival has been held annually, attracting visitors from around the country.
Nyingchi is in southeastern Tibet. During the festival, tourists can enjoy peach blossoms at the foot of snow-capped mountains and a special view at the plateau.
