School opening schedule set for Beijing

Education authorities in Beijing released the timetable for the city's spring semester on Friday.

All kindergarten, primary and middle school students will start classes on campus for the spring semester starting March 1, the usual schedule.

Colleges in Beijing will also start classes in March. Some began on Feb 19 and others will follow gradually.

Li Yi, spokesman for the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, said schools should have epidemic prevention measures in place to ensure safety.

All training institutions should resume classes after securing approval from the authorities.
