Mega wind turbine gets ready in Hunan
A powerful wind turbine with an annual power generation capacity of 58 gigawatt has rolled off its production line in Zhuzhou, a city in Central China's Hunan province. After it is installed, the 12-megawatt semi-direct drive wind turbine with a permanent magnet synchronous generator will be able to meet the annual electricity demand of 145,000 households and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 27,550 metric tons, equivalent to the annual emissions of 18,000 cars, according to its developer CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Co Ltd.
Chili sauce firm posts 7% rise in revenue
Lao Gan Ma, a major chili sauce maker in China, said its sales revenue rose to a record 5.4 billion yuan ($835.6 million) in 2020, up by 7 percent on a yearly basis, the company said in an earnings statement. Established in 1996 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, Lao Gan Ma is one of the largest chili sauce production enterprises in China.
