Shanghai steps up anti-pandemic measures
The Shanghai government on Wednesday released new COVID-19 measures which advise people living in medium- and high-risk areas in China to postpone their trips to the city until the risk level is downgraded to low.
The measures also state that people returning to Shanghai from medium- and high-risk areas within the country should report to their local neighborhood committees within 12 hours after their arrival and adhere to the necessary pandemic prevention protocols.
In addition, those from or passing through high-risk domestic areas will be required to serve a 14-day quarantine and undertake two nucleic acid tests.
Those passing through medium-risk areas in the country should be placed under the supervision of their local neighborhood committees for 14 days after their arrival and take two nucleic acid tests.
