Hebei records 46 new COVID-19 cases
Hebei province reported 46 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 13 asymptomatic carriers on Saturday. Over 60 percent of the confirmed were previously diagnosed as asymptomatic carriers, according to the Health Commission of Hebei on Sunday.
After the new rise, Hebei has a total of 183 recently confirmed COVID-19 patients and 181 asymptomatic carriers, the commission said. Among all confirmed cases, six have severe symptoms, while the rest are displaying medium conditions.
Among the newly confirmed cases, 44 are in Shijiazhuang, Hebei's capital city, 27 of whom were previously diagnosed as asymptomatic carriers. And another two confirmed cases are in Xingtai city, all previously diagnosed as asymptomatic carriers.
Most of the new confirmed cases in Shijiazhuang are still in Gaocheng district, while several were from the city's other counties or districts. Many of the new confirmed cases had attended weddings or other kind of gatherings before contracting COVID-19.
The two new confirmed cases in Xingtai are all from Nangong city, where all its previous cases are located.
The province has reported new cases for seven consecutive days since this new outbreak of COVID-19 started a week ago.
