Six more COVID cases found in Liaoning
Liaoning province reported six new confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, all in Dalian, from 3 pm to the end of the day on Wednesday, the province's health commission said on Thursday morning.
The province also reported four new asymptomatic infections, one in Shenyang and three in Dalian.
As of Wednesday, the province had 13 confirmed COVID-19 patients in hospitals and another 23 asymptomatic carriers under quarantine and receiving treatment, according to the commission.
Of those, 12 confirmed patients and 20 domestically transmitted asymptomatic carriers were in Dalian. All the new cases have been transferred to the city's designated hospital for treatment.
Dalian's latest round of infections began on Dec 15, when four port workers handling cold-chain food products were found to be asymptomatic carriers.
