Beijing reports 1 imported COVID-19 case
Beijing reported on Wednesday one imported COVID-19 case, with a nucleic acids testing result which was positive after recovery.
Pang Xinghuo, deputy head of the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention, shared details of the new case at a news conference on Thursday.
The confirmed case, a 31-year-old female, had a cough on Oct 11 and went to a local hospital in Sweden on Oct 14 where her testing result was positive.
She took medicine and got well. On Oct 21 and 30, she received testing in Sweden twice and the results were both negative.
On Oct 25, she went to a restaurant with her friends in Sweden and went shopping on Oct 31 and Nov 2.
She took flight SK1429 on Nov 2 from Sweden to Denmark and took CA878 to arrive at Beijing on Nov 3.
Her testing result after arrival was shown as positive on Nov 4.
Now, she is a confirmed COVID-19 patient and at Ditan Hospital for medical treatment.
All close contacts have been brought to a centralized quarantine and no symptoms among those contacts were reported by now.
