8 missing in NW China mine accident

XI'AN -- Eight miners are missing after a suspected gas outburst in a coal mine in Northwest China's Shaanxi province Wednesday, local authorities said.
Forty-two miners were working underground when the accident occurred around 1 pm in Yintai district of Tongchuan city, according to the emergency rescue team on the site. Of the miners, 34 were lifted out of the mine safely.
Rescue work is under way.
