YINCHUAN -- A tourist train has taken about 800 visitors from eastern China on a six-day tour of the scenic spots of the country's western regions.
The train departed from the city of Zhongwei, Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region Saturday, representing the third such train this year. More than 1,700 passengers have taken the journey so far.
The train will make stops at several popular tourist destinations in neighboring Gansu province, before returning to Ningxia and visiting the region's leading tourist attractions.
More such train services will be launched in October.
