Video: HK official on the policy of oath-taking by HK civil servants

Patrick Nip Tak-kuen, Hong Kong secretary for the civil service, told China Daily on Thursday that a policy requiring new civil servants to take an oath of allegiance to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will be introduced in early October.
Nip said it has always been the duty of Hong Kong civil servants to uphold the Basic Law and promise their allegiance to the SAR.
