Film industry needs at least 3 years to recover from pandemic: HK insider

The Hong Kong International Film Festival will schedule some screenings after cinemas reopen on Friday, but the film industry will need at least three to four years to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, said Albert Lee, executive director of the organizing body of Asia’s oldest international film festival, which began in 1977. Lee spoke Thursday on a webinar organized by China Daily.
