Hong Kong opposition lawmakers appear in court for cases related to social unrest

HONG KONG - Two Hong Kong opposition lawmakers Lam Cheuk-ting and Hui Chi-fung appeared at the West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts on Thursday over cases related to last year's social unrest.
While Lam was charged with rioting and being intended to pervert the course of justice, Hui was charged with being intended to pervert the course of justice, accessing a computer with dishonest intent and criminal damage.
The lawmakers and two other people were involved in a case related to the Tuen Mun Police Station. Lam and six others were suspected of participating in a riot on July 21, 2019. These cases were adjourned to November and October, respectively.
All 10 suspects were granted bail.
