Blast kills 1, wounds 2 in Afghan capital

KABUL -- One person was killed and two others were injuried as a blast struck a vehicle in Kabul on Tuesday, spokesman for Kabul police Ferdaus Faramarz said.

The blast took place at 07:00 am local time in PD 11 in Khair Khana locality, killing one person on the spot and wounding two others, the official said.

Without providing more details, the official said that investigation is underway and details would be made public.
