More than 1,000 soldiers from Unit 73091 of the People's Liberation Army ended their month-long flood relief efforts in Anhui province on Sunday morning. But before they left, they posted messages on the blackboards of each school classroom they had used as a temporary dormitory.
Severe floods had been hitting the province since early July, and the troops had been working hard to protect the local residents, and the officers wanted to thank the schools for providing shelters and they wanted to leave messages for the students as souvenirs.
