Alan Douglas joins Beijing Guoan on loan

BEIJING - Naturalized Chinese player Alan Douglas Borges de Carvalho has completed his loan move from Guangzhou Evergrande to Beijing Guoan, the capital team confirmed on Friday.

Coming through the youth rank of top-tier Brazilian side Fluminense, the Brazilian-born striker joined Chinese Super League powerhouses Guangzhou Evergrande in 2015 from FC Red Bull Salzburg in Austria.

According to Guoan, as a versatile player, Alan can assume the roles of center-forward and winger.

The 31-year-old started 25 times for Tianjin Tianhai last season, providing nine goals and two assists.

Alan will wear the No. 19 jersey next season.
