Guizhou bus crash rescue efforts, investigations are ongoing

As of 7:30 pm, the local authorities had confirmed 21 deaths and 16 injuries as a result of a bus crash in Guizhou province.
36 people on a bus that crashed into a reservoir in Guizhou province were found and rushed to hospital for treatment on Tuesday afternoon, Guizhou Daily reported.
According to the newspaper, the No 2 bus in Anshun city, Southwest China's Guizhou province, broke the guardrail on the road and fell into the Hongshan Reservoir in the city's Xixiu district at around 12:30 pm on Tuesday.
At least 19 fire trucks, 21 rubber boats and 97 rescuers, including 17 divers, were in place to rescue people on the bus, while casualties are still unknown, the newspaper said. But local authorities have yet to confirm the report.
