Two Hong Kong police officers, both severely assaulted by radical protesters amid last year's social unrest, thanked people who have expressed sympathy and support to them and the force. It has lightened the dark days they and their family endured.
In interviews with China Daily, the officers said they will cherish the recognition and continue to help society restore peace, with gratefulness in mind.
