Fire at chemical plant in Jiangsu province is extinguished

A fire that broke out at a chemical plant in Lianyungang, Jiangsu province, on Tuesday night has been extinguished and there have been no reports of deaths or injuries.
According to a notice issued by the government of the city's Ganyu district, the fire occurred at Hongxing Abrasive Materials Company. It said an investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
Flames could be seen miles away. Local residents said that at least eight workers were at the plant at the time of the fire , according to People.cn.
