A NeuThor Container CT (Computed Tomography) equipment was sent to Chile for the fight against COVID-19 from Shenyang, Liaoning province, on April 15.
The equipment, which was developed and produced by Neusoft Medical Systems, will be put to use in the only designated hospital for COVID-19 patients in the Biobio region of Chile immediately after its arrival.
After receiving an urgent order from Chile, the company quickly set up a production team and finished the delivery of the machine within a few days.
The design can effectively avoid cross infection between patients and medical workers, the company said.
The machine can be also transformed for conventional CT use in hospitals, which can maximize its value, the company said.
