South China Agricultural University has sent teams of experts and technicians — more than 100 altogether — to major agricultural production bases in the South China region to help farmers and agriculture-related enterprises continue production during the current epidemic, it said in a written statement.
The move is aimed at ensuring a harvest later, which will help poor villages cast off poverty and set out on a road to prosperity, it said.
