Exhibitors and buyers meet online for third CIIE

The China International Import Expo bureau released a list of exhibitors who have signed up for its third edition to domestic buyers on Thursday.
The list includes 143 companies, 40 percent of which are Fortune Global 500 enterprises, such as Swiss drugmaker Roche Group and Japanese electronic manufacturer Panasonic.
Wang Hongwei, head of the buyers' service division of the bureau, said the list will help domestic companies connect with foreign companies ahead of the expo, which will take place in November.
The bureau held an online video news conference with some exhibitors and buyers as part of the release.
Zhang Jing, general manager assistant of China Eastern Aviation Import & Export Corp, said early access to exhibitor information will give purchasers more time to prepare for matchmaking and business negotiations.
Charles Kao, president of Amorepacific China, agreed with Zhang and said communication with potential buyers will help the company provide more localized products to Chinese market.
Wang Binjie, assistant to the general manager of the bureau's business exhibition division, said more than 50 percent of the exhibition area has been booked.
Companies across the world will showcase their latest products in six sections, namely trade in services, automobiles, consumer goods, intelligent and information technology, healthcare and food products, he said.
Online registration for the expo will last till the end of April.
