Lyon sink Juventus 1-0 at home, Tousart on target

PARIS - Lucas Tousart scored a precious goal to give French Ligue 1 side Lyon a 1-0 win over Italian champions Juventus in the first leg of their round-of-16 game in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Maurizio Sarri's side went into the game with confidence but failed to create good chances before Tousart netted in the 31st minute after receiving a cross from Houssem Aouar.
The visitors had over 60 percent possessions but lost their sharpness in the front, even their ace Cristiano Ronaldo, having scored in all nine appearances in 2020, had to register a game with no shooting on target.
Argentine forward Paulo Dybala was on target in the 87th minute but the goal was ruled out for offside later.
The returning leg will take place at Allianz Stadium on March 17.
Around 3,000 Juventus supporters crossed the French-Italian border to flow into the Groupama Stadium, despite calling from some French politicians to block their access due to the current spread of the coronavirus in northern Italy.
