The Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region is encouraging residents between 8 and 70 years of age to participate in 10 kinds of physical activities at home, including jumping rope, kicking shuttlecocks and practicing Tai Chi, to stay in shape during the novel coronarivus outbreak.

Participants can take videos of their workouts and send them to a designated email of the Xinjiang Sports Administration to win prizes.

“The videos should be sent from Feb 7 to 18,” said Yang Dezhong, secretary general of the Xinjiang Sports Federation.

So far, 62 people have sent videos to the administration.
