Xi, Vietnamese leader laud anniversary of ties in messages

President Xi Jinping exchanged congratulatory messages with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Phu Trong on Saturday on the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and Trong,who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, held a phone call to exchange Spring Festival greetings two days ago.
