HOHHOT -- An alleged murderer was finally captured in north China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region after absconding for 33 years.
According to police in Chen Barag Banner under the city of Hulun Buir, the suspect, surnamed Li, stabbed someone to death with a knife after a quarrel with the victim in December 1987.
The police launched a manhunt but no progress was made. Thanks to advanced intelligent technologies that led to new investigation clues, they identified a resident surnamed Quan in the city of Manzhouli as the suspect, and arrested the man recently.
