Main section of expressway linking 2020 Winter Olympics cities completed

SHIJIAZHUANG - A main section in Hebei province of an expressway linking Beijing and Zhangjiakou, the co-host cities of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, has passed completion tests, authorities said.

The main section in Hebei province is 81.55 km long with four lanes, according to the Hebei provincial bureau of transport.

Rest stops on the expressway have introduced intelligent equipment and systems in toilets and parking facilities.

The expressway project is among the first batch of demonstration projects featuring green highway construction promoted by the Ministry of Transport.
