Xi praises Macao's progress
During his inspection tour, Xi also talked with international students studying in Macao from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
The president encouraged them to cherish the precious opportunities to learn skills and become envoys that promote friendship between China and their home countries as well as the rest of the world.
In an exhibition hall with exhibits demonstrating the great changes that Macao has made over the past 20 years, Xi affirmed the SAR's efforts in strengthening long-term planning and overall coordination after hearing a briefing on the city's overall planning.
The newly built complex will be the permanent meeting venue for the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation Between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries. It offers trade services, business presentations, a showcase of goods, cultural exhibits and information exchanges.
