Xi's article on socialist state, legal systems with Chinese characteristics to be published

BEIJING - An article by President Xi Jinping on upholding, improving and developing socialist state system and legal system with Chinese characteristics will be published Sunday in the 23rd issue of the Qiushi Journal this year.

In the article, Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, said the socialist state system and legal system with Chinese characteristics have been gradually formed over the past seven decades since the founding of New China.

The entire Party should foster stronger confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and continue forging ahead along the right path, the article read.

The article pointed out that the socialist state and legal systems with Chinese characteristics have been formed through long-term practices and explorations.

The new type of state system founded by the CPC has enabled China to create a miracle of rapid economic growth and long-term social stability, and offered a new option for developing countries to realize modernization, it read.

The article said the socialist state and legal systems with Chinese characteristics are scientific systems that have been proved by practice and have significant advantages.

Apart from upholding and implementing the socialist state and legal systems with Chinese characteristics, the article also stressed the importance of improving and developing the systems.

The article called for continuous efforts to strengthen institutional innovation in the light of China's national conditions.
