BEIJING - Beijing is now entering the flu season.
The emergence of flu viruses in Beijing generally starts in October, rises in December and ends in February of the next year, said Zeng Xiaofan, director of the municipal center for disease control and prevention.
Schools and childcare facilities are prone to report concentrated flu outbreaks. Beijing authorities advise the elderly and minors to take precautions.
Beijing started free flu vaccinations for students and elderly people in September.
