Senior CPC official calls for more artwork contributing to Chinese dream

BEIJING - A senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official on Thursday called for more fine artwork to create a mighty force to realize the Chinese Dream.
Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at the opening ceremony of an art exhibition in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The exhibition, titled "Great Journey, Splendid View," displays nearly 500 paintings and sculptures to reflect the journey of Chinese people to seek liberation and national rejuvenation under the Party's leadership.
The exhibition will last until November 3 at the National Art Museum of China.
