Shanghai Library East Branch begins to take shape

The main steel-framed structure of the Shanghai Library East Branch was completed on Sep 20.
Located near Century Park in Pudong New Area, the facility, which began construction in 2017, covers an area of 39,500 square meters and has nine floors, seven above ground and two underground.
As one of the city's new cultural landmarks, the library will be completed in 2020 and open to the public the next year.
