Panchen Lama attends premiere of anthology in Tibet
The 11th Panchen Lama Bainqen Erdini Qoigyijabu attended the premiere of an anthology featuring the collected works of successive Panchen Lamas.
He delivered a speech at the premiere in Tibet autonomous region's Shigatse city on Wednesday.
More than 100 attendees including officials and representatives from the regional and Shigatse city governments, the China Tibetology Research Center, Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, Qinghai Normal University, and the region's religious institutes attended the ceremony.
The 11th Panchen Lama, also a member of National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and vice-president of the Buddhist Association of China, said the successive Panchen Lamas are a banner of patriotism of Tibetan Buddhism, reported the China News Service.
