After about two months of hard work, Cui Zhijia has finished decorating his two-story villa in a village about 20 kilometers from the center of Jilin city in Northeast China's Jilin province.
Located in a large orchard, two abandoned containers were turned into a charming garden home by the 22-year-old man and his wife.
"I felt it was really cool when I heard some news about turning containers into apartments both at home and abroad," Cui told China News Service. "Therefore I decided to have a try in a similar way."
"I spent about 30,000 yuan ($4,195.6) on buying the containers and decoration," he said. "With the help of my uncle, who is a carpenter, we finished all the work ourselves, from designing to decoration."
