Hu Wuyin is the director of the Hangzhou Match Factory in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. Matches used to be daily necessities for families, but fewer people use them now.
Hu has added cultural style to the matches, using characters from traditional stories in the designs, and established online stores to attract more customers. He recently handed in an application for the district's intangible cultural heritage, as he believes matches are also a way to learn about the city's history.
