Hong Kong police, firefighters cheered at global sports event

The 18th World Police and Fire Games officially opened in Chengdu on Thursday, takefoto.cn reported.
Police officers and firefighters from 79 countries and regions gathered together during the opening ceremony.
When delegates from the Hong Kong Police Force and Fire Services Department marched into the stadium, local spectators stood up, applauded and gave them a cheer in Chengdu dialect.
The HKSAR squad will compete in games of cross-country orienteering, half marathon, badminton, basketball, American football and dragon boat race, etc.
