China National Petroleum Corp has successful half year


China National Petroleum Corp, the country's largest oil and gas company, made progress in oil and gas exploration during the first half of this year, the company said on Thursday.
Crude production increased by 52,000 tons during the January-June period. The number of new production wells increased by 121 during the same period, a year-on-year increase of 160,000 tons of newly added capacity, it said.
Natural gas production increased 940 million cubic meters, representing a 6.8 percent increase compared with the same period last year.
Sales of natural gas increased 3.93 billion cubic meters during the first half of 2019, up 21.9 percent year-on-year.
The company's output growth of oil and gas is in accordance with national production.
China recorded crude oil output up one percent year-on-year during the first half of this year, with natural gas up 10.3 percent year-on-year.
