Two Shanghai cinemas begin 24-hour movie screenings

On Monday, Shanghai Daguangming Theatre and Shanghai Cathay Theatre became the first two cinemas in the city to offer round-the-clock movie screenings to satisfy the burgeoning demand for late-night recreational activities.

Daguangming Theatre will be tapping into its 90 year history by scheduling a variety of movies of cultural and historic significance for its late-night screenings. Cathay Theatre, on the other hand, will introduce a new book bar and host tea parties for late night moviegoers.
