BEIJING -- Paris Saint-German player Wang Shuang has been named in China's squad for the upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup in France, as the Chinese head coach Jia Xiuquan announced his 23-member roster on Monday.

The injury-haunted PSG star, 24, who joined the French-capital-based club last August and played an attacking role for most of time, was listed along with Song Duan and Tan Ruyin in midfield and handed the playmaker's No. 7 shirt.

Her attacking partner Wang Shanshan in last year's Jakarta Asian Games received her call-up too, with the other two forwards of the Chinese squad being 28-year-old veteran Yang Li and 26-year-old Li Ying.

The Chinese team had departed from Beijing late last Friday, bringing 26 players to France to kick off the final phase preparation in their pre-tournament training camp in Auxerre, France, over one-hour drive from Paris.

A few of friendlies have been scheduled while they try to recover from jetlag and adjust to the environment, including a match against the hosts France in Creteil on Friday in the lead-up to the world's grand event of women's football.

China have been drawn into Group B alongside with Germany, Spain and South Africa at the quadrennial soccer tournament, which will be held from June 7 to July 7 in nine French cities.

Their opening game will be against the second-ranked Germany in Rennes, France's west coast city, on June 8.
