Cultural fair visitors, overseas buyers hit record high


China's annual cultural fair is making an increasing impact worldwide, with the number of visitors and overseas buyers reaching a record high, according to the organizing committee.
The Fifteen China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair wrapped up in Shenzhen on Monday. The five-day event attracted more than 22,000 overseas buyers from 103 countries and regions, an increase of 781 people from the previous year.
As of Sunday, there were a total of seven million visits to the event, with the number of visitors coming to the main venue growing over 10 percent year-on-year.
The cultural fair, believed to be the country's largest of its kind, serves as a platform for cultural industry players from all over the world to display their cultural products and seek business cooperation opportunities. It also is a platform to showcase the latest developments in the culture industry.
This year's event features cross-industry integration between culture and technology. A number of high technology, including big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and 5G, are being applied in cultural projects, creating a new driving force for the industry's development.
