CAST to hold annual conference in June

The 21st annual conference of the China Association for Science and Technology is scheduled to be held in Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province from 29 to 30 June, according to Shen Jinsheng, director of the service center at CAST, in a news conference on Tuesday.

The conference will be divided into three sections with 30 major activities. Some 2,000 people, including more than 230 foreign guests and 500 domestic experts, are expected to attend the conference.

CAST has organized a campaign to solicit for major scientific and engineering issues from scientists and technicians since 2018. The soliciting results for this year will be released at the closing ceremony of the annual conference on June 30.

Meanwhile, CAST also announced that the World New Energy Vehicle Congress will be held in Boao, Hainan province, from 1 to 3 July. Jointly organized by CAST and the Hainan provincial government, the congress is expected to be attended by over 1,200 guests and representatives from governments of various countries and different industries.

It also announced that the 2019 World Transport Convention will be held in Beijing from 13 to 16 June.
