Five people shot dead in Inner Mongolia autonomous region

Five people were shot dead this afternoon in Kailu county, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, local authorities said on Monday.
An individual shot and killed five people at around 3:30 pm local time before being apprehended by police, according to the Kailu county public security bureau.
The statement was posted on the county's publicity bureau's Sina Weibo account.
The firearm and ammunition have been confiscated and the case is still under investigation, the statement said.
It did not disclose the exact location of the shooting or whether anyone else was injured.
